Florentine hats (also known as “Leghorn”) were woven until the 1950’s. Our entire stock dates back to this time or earlier. The fibres came from a special assorted wheatstraw and were woven together into braids and then not sewn, but again woven together to the final shape. A very own technique only these legendary hats were made in.
